Currently, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Truckload Account Development to join the MoLo Solutions team. The Senior Manager, Truckload Account Development is responsible for managing Managers of Truckload Account Development and cultivating the team's professional development to ensure adherence to performance metrics. This position oversees the implementation of customer account strategies, optimizes processes for efficiency, engages in account-level decisions, and closely monitors the health of customer accounts. In alignment with organizational objectives, the focus of this position is on fostering growth within the team's existing portfolio, which predominantly consists of small to medium-sized businesses, and revive dormant or churned accounts. The Senior Manager, Truckload Account Development cultivates trusted relationships with key stakeholders at high levels within customer organizations, ultimately contributing to achieving excellent results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Managers of Truckload Account Development.

  • Provide training and professional development for the Managers of Truckload Account Development, allocate workload distribution, and ensure adherence to performance metrics.

  • Implement and oversee performance management initiatives for all levels within the direct organization to improve team effectiveness and productivity.

  • Provide coaching and training to Managers of Truckload Account Development related to the revival and re-onboarding of dormant or churned accounts.

  • Develop relationships with higher level customer contacts.

  • Develop and implement the customer account strategies to meet volume and margin goals in alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Ensure managers have a strong understanding of the customer account strategies, supervise strategy execution, and report on strategy progress.

  • Proactively monitor the growth of accounts and communicate additional support needs to deliver a consistent customer experience across all SMB/MM customers.

  • Create and implement effective customer operations processes to execute service efficiency.

  • Proactively review and analyze customer score cards and customer account data to make informed decisions.

  • Monitor customer retention reports, ensure health of accounts, and take proactive measures to address accounts that show signs of decline.

  • Track the growth of customer accounts, encompassing budget management, spot performance, RFP strategy, digital quoting formulas, and offer innovative solutions.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency, ensure tech adoption, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Utilize reporting tools and consistently review the key metrics that drive the business.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Carrier Sales, Yield, Truckload Strategy, Business Development, and Accounting to optimize the success of the customer account.

  • Own projects focused on strategic pillars.

  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Experience and Skills We’re Looking For:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

Experience

  • 5 years Experience in third-party logistics, preferred.

  • 5 years Experience in Customer Operations, Account Management, Customer Sales or related field, preferred.

  • Experience meeting performance expectations in the Manger, Truckload Account Development position or another applicable leadership position.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

  • Deep understanding of the freight market

  • Diligent at driving operational efficiencies

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Exhibit higher level leadership skills

  • Proven ability to effectively manage and develop a team

  • Proven ability to drive customer account growth

  • Proven experience spot quoting and successfully utilizing pricing tools

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability

  • Sound decision-making abilities

Your hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Location: In-Office Chicago, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Nashville or Remote.
