Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Hi Tech Engineering industry in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This role involves managing and maintaining financial models, participating in the financial close process, and providing management reporting on consolidated financial and operational metrics. The Sr. Financial Analyst will also be tasked with developing and implementing methods and techniques to improve forecasting, financial evaluations, and analyses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation of both long- and short-term operating plans, ensuring alignment between the operating plan, short term tactics, and long-term strategy

• Oversee and manage financial models to ensure accurate representation of the business models, integrity of financial data, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

• Participate actively in the financial close process and quarterly earnings preparation by analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual results against the annual plan and forecasts

• Support the consolidation of company-wide financial statements during monthly reforecast cycles

• Provide comprehensive management reporting on consolidated financial, operational, and key financial metrics

• Collaborate with the broader FP& A team and senior leadership to construct driver-based forecast models that ensure alignment with strategic business objectives

• Develop and implement methods and techniques aimed at enhancing forecasting, financial evaluations and analyses, financial processes, and system functionality

• Execute other duties as assigned, related to financial analysis and reporting. Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior financial analyst role within the hi-tech engineering industry

• Proficient in utilizing CapEx for capital expenditure analysis and decision-making

• Hands-on experience with CRM software for maintaining and managing customer data

• Familiarity with data mining techniques to analyze large data sets and generate insights

• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for streamlining business processes

• Knowledge of ERP solutions and their implementation in business processes

• Experience with 'About Time' software for effective time and project management

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions, principles, and standards

• Familiarity with budget processes, including planning, forecasting, and reporting

• Experience in expense reporting to ensure accurate financial statements

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or relevant certification (such as CFA/CPA) would be an advantage.
