Hospitality Attendant:

The hotel offers our guests complimentary, hot breakfast seven days a week. We are seeking an outgoing team member that can interface with guests and provide courteous and efficient service in the breakfast room. The Hospitality Attendant is responsible for the setup, service, maintenance and breakdown of the breakfast bar line. The breakfast bar is open every day of the year, including holidays and the typical work shift will be 5:00am - 12:00pm

We expect our associates to provide warm, friendly service with a genuine smile and pleasant attitude. Our goal is to make each guest feel like they are a welcomed friend. We look for team players who are willing to learn and who seek opportunities to grow. Prior customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.

General Responsibilities: Responsible for the setup, service, maintenance and breakdown of the breakfast bar line; prepare specified food items at the breakfast bar, replenishing food and assist in serving food from the breakfast bar line to the guests, if needed, courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications. Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production in the designated outlets in accordance with standards. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Qualifications (Essential): • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding. • One year experience in guest service. • Ability to provide legible communication. • Ability to do basic arithmetic.

Qualifications (Desired): • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate. • Sanitation certificate. • Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations. • Knowledge of proper chemical handling. • Previous guest relations training.

Skills: • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision. • Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties. • Ability to ensure quality standards and guest satisfaction are met.

a. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior. 4. Supports and participates in common teamwork: a. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment. b. Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations. c. ollows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or guests regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns. d. Promotes positive public relations with guests and employees. e. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.

Essential Functions: (Include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned.) • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company's business operations. • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements. • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely. • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental/hotel policies and procedures. • Ability to arrive early and set-up breakfast bar, and secure keys according to procedures. • Complete opening duties: Set up all food items on the breakfast bar line attractively following specifications. Keep replenished throughout the designated time of the breakfast bar; ensuring quality products are always available for guests. • Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the breakfast bar and work stations; rectify any deficiencies. Maintain throughout the shift. • Complete prep work on items needed for stocking for next day. • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. • Breakdown breakfast bar and work station; complete closing duties according to department standards. • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. • Assist with inventories as scheduled. • Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule. • Attend designated meetings.
