Robert Half Staff Accountant in Topton, Pennsylvania

Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. The chosen candidate will be tasked with various accounting duties, including reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and adjusting journal entries, performing account analysis, and preparing financial statements. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile general ledger accounts in a precise and timely manner • Prepare and adjust journal entries as per business requirements • Perform account analysis to ensure accurate financial records • Prepare comprehensive financial statements for internal and external use • Assist with other accounting duties as assigned by the management • Ensure the accurate use of multiple accounting software such as SAP, Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and NetSuite • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity • Assist in the month-end close process • Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate account balances.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Knowledge and understanding of General Ledger activities.

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is essential.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle financial software.

• Experience in QuickBooks is required.

• Knowledge of SAP for financial management is necessary.

• Account Reconciliation skills are a must.

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

• detail oriented certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
