Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This role will play a critical part in maintaining financial stability and supporting the operational efficiency of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents.

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

• Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities.

• Assist with the implementation of process improvements to streamline accounts payable procedures.

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely payment approvals.

• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes and systems.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
