Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Automation Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ansible for automation, a strong background in IT service management ( ITSM ) with platforms such as ServiceNow, and a deep understanding of cloud services across AWS , Azure, and GCP . The role requires a solid grasp of configuration management within these cloud environments. Experience with Terraform is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible to streamline IT operations.

  • Writes, debugs, and maintains source code using best practices as assigned.

  • Collaborates and communicates closely with teams to provide solutions to infrastructure and software engineering tasks.

  • Becomes proficient in new technologies in a timely manner as assigned and determined by management and team lead.

  • Builds and releases configuration management deployments for Linux, Windows, and other systems as assigned.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

  • Develop integration between Ansible playbooks, ServiceNow, and Terraform.

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS , and GCP with a focus on configuration management.

  • Utilize Terraform to codify cloud resources and ensure efficient deployment and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver automation strategies.

  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new cloud technologies and automation tools.

  • Completes assigned duties in a timely manner as determined by management and team lead.

Minimum Qualifications

Require a bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Preferences

  • Proficient in the following languages: Python, JavaScript, YAML , JSON , and Bash.

  • Experience with ServiceNow development and automation with other Low Code/No Code solutions.

  • Familiarity with Web Development including React and leveraging APIs.

  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following cloud providers AWS , Azure and GCP .

  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC /Vnet, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.

  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available Solutions within Public and Private Cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with IAM (Identity and Access Management) concepts and tools in cloud platforms to ensure secure and controlled access to cloud resources.

  • Experience writing and maintaining DevOps and GitOps models with infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and policy-as-code.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools – GitHub, Bitbucket, pipelines, repos, etc.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools/configuration management like: Ansible, Terraform.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with team.

  • Eagerness to actively engage in professional development opportunities such as certifications, workshops, or conferences to enhance skills and knowledge in cloud and other technologies.
