Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Resettlement Director, the OT Program Supervisor is responsible for the development and implementation of IRC SLC’s Occupational Therapy Program. The OT Program works directly a sub-set of high-risk resettlement clients and cases to provide one on one OT support to overcome barriers and facilitate self-sufficiency across various areas including, but not limited to health, casework, education and employment. The OT Program Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the OT students, case staffing meetings, OT program service delivery and building external community partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Onboard, Train and Supervise cohorts of OT students, each semester, in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.

  • Develop programming for Occupational Therapy within IRC SLC, including conducting outreach, grant prospecting, grant writing and grants management.

  • Identify program services gaps, identify, and develop solutions.

  • Satisfy recordkeeping and reporting requirements in compliance with IRC policy and other identified grants or contracts.

  • Maintain and build additional community partnerships that address OT needs and the social determinants of health.

  • Support the resettlement program with service delivery and coordination.

  • Attend and facilitate key program meetings both internally and externally.

  • Lead training and development for new staff and interns on the OT Program.

  • Support in the development of curriculum for refugee health promotion educational classes or workshops and obtain, track and implement client feedback.

  • Comply with all policies and protocols of the agency.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in Occupational Therapy; preferably with diverse/refugee population

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience with refugees or other vulnerable populations.

  • Higher Educational Degree and Licensure in Occupational Therapy

  • Familiarity with the local social services network and system and means of accessing care for low-income individuals and those on Medicaid.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, additional knowledge of languages spoken by refugees encouraged and appreciated.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Strong computer skill with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to learn and utilize multiple electronic systems.

  • Competency in data management and entry

  • Familiarity with confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Commitment to the mission of IRC and the SLC office needs and outcomes

Working Environment

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
