What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Sr. Director of IT Technology & Operations, you will be the leader of the planning, developing, implementing, and supporting of IT Operations. You will be part of a dynamic team who manages the optimized resourcing and funding that efficiently delivers IT Operations needs in alignment with IT Strategy. Other duties will include:
Ensure compliance with applicable health & safety performance standards, acts and regulations
Manage and direct the global IT Operations team under a “One Team” approach ensuring high levels of collaboration, responsiveness, and performance
Manage, mentor, motivate and develop a team of IT professionals, including completing and delivering performance evaluations and facilitating necessary training. Manage resource allocations & constraints.
Facilitate IT Transactional Excellence through continuous improvement and adoption of ITIL practices
Stay abreast of industry and technology trends that impact or support business partners
Effectively communicate technology change or risk and drive transparency with IT & business leadership
Design and architect Service Delivery strategy aligned to optimal business partner and customer experience
Lead IT Operational Services alignment to the strategic direction of the company across IPL’s multiple business units.
Develop and drive an improvement strategy roadmap for IT Service Management & Automation solutions
Identify technology opportunities (e.g. user experience uplift), develop and solicit capital proposals, and implement service and process improvements.
Comprehensively understand and sponsor project management activities involving IT Operations
Provide insight into the performance and adoption of IT Services, including supporting resource allocation information, by implementing and leveraging metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and dashboards.
Direct the preparation of source documents and technical manuals and enforce the use of established and documented IT processes, tools, and best practices (e.g. ITIL)
Manage and improve service provision from third-party IT vendors and service providers, resulting in customer satisfaction and reduced exposure to security risks.
Drive a customer service mindset measuring success using goals, metrics, and operational service levels for the company’s enterprise-wide user community
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent experience. ITIL certification preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing and supporting global IT Operations, Service Delivery, & Infrastructure environments.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in an IT and IT Operations capacity
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a global team of up to 8 direct reports and 15+ individuals either direct, matrixed, or contract/managed services.
Experience in providing support for ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Working knowledge of ITIL practices and processes. Change management expertise essential.
Proven experience and success in driving Automation of IT Operations, IT Self Service, IT Service Delivery, and Infrastructure.
Ability to provide thought leadership and present solutions to senior level management
Ability to manage a global IT budget and to communicate IT costs and investments to an array of stakeholders
Understanding of outsourcing methodologies and operating models, and working with professional services firms
Expertise in managing complex contracts and outsourcing service agreement including design and tracking of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
