Universal Health Services Outpatient Therapist - Adolescents (Part Time) in SACRAMENTO, California

Responsibilities

The Oaks outpatient programs incorporate a range of services to adolescents including; physician oversight, medication management, group therapy practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and clinical assistance tailored to help our clients achieve their treatment goals. Offering premiere behavioral health services for individuals experiencing psychiatric and /or substance abuse symptoms that negatively affect daily functioning.

Position Description

Our outpatient Associates or Licensed Therapist work is focused on facilitating group therapy using evidence-based practices and modalities (such as CBT, DBT, etc.), facilitating group psychoeducation, and individual treatment and counseling in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) service centers. This includes assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills achievement of their optimal level of emotional health. Additional functions include providing basic consultation, teaching, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term group and individual therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically-related mental health field, and LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensure with the state of California (BBS) in good standing.

    Experience: One year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills is preferred but not required. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
