Our client seeks a Tax Senior for a full time opportunity. The Tax Senior will be responsible for overseeing tax processes for all entities by interpreting tax regulations, completing or reviewing tax returns and ensuring compliance. Are you a deadline driven Tax Senior with excellent organization and attention to detail? Then this may be the role for you!

Major responsibilities:

• Supervise the tax preparation process conducted by various accounting firms for different fund families and scrutinize the tax returns they prepare.

• Examine the federal, state, local, and special tax returns prepared in-house for management companies and smaller fund entities.

• Undertake research and special assignments on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer.

• Address tax-related inquiries from investors promptly and with professionalism.

• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local tax legislations and recommend necessary actions to management.

• Monitor tax return submissions and their respective due dates.

• Handle tax-related notices and assess tax work papers.

  Requirements

The ideal Tax Senior candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the Property Controller position include and are not limited to:

• 5+ years of public accounting with a focus in real estate/private equity preferred.

• Public experience and Partnership exposure/experience

• Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy

• Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
