Our client - a leading pharmaceutical company - is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $70,000

Location: Middlesex County, NJ

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on equipment, facilities, and utilities, aligning with cGMP engineering maintenance standards.

  • Conduct equipment installations and execute operational protocols or non-routine tasks as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize efficiency by resolving equipment or process-related problems, ranging from simple to complex.

  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks related to facilities and utilities.

  • Execute routine facility maintenance work.

  • Maintain documentation related to preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and usage logs.

  • Manage spare parts inventory.

  • Develop and maintain records on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and systems to ensure operational and validation compliance.

  • Assist in area validation, calibration, certification efforts, and the implementation of new processes in manufacturing.

  • Perform equipment, utility, and plant validation as required.

  • Adhere to all company policies related to job safety.

  • Support operational improvement and maintenance projects.

  • Execute improvements and maintenance tasks as necessary to support operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School/Trade School/Vocational School Diploma/equivalent

  • Black Seal Boiler License & HVAC Certification preferred.

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and control diagrams.

  • Proficient in identifying replacement parts from manuals and other resources.

  • Strong mathematical and computer skills, including MS Office and some experience with SAP.

  • Proficiency in electrical and control troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of welding and plumbing, including sweating copper tubing.

  • Understanding of compressed air/pneumatic systems.

  • Capability to fabricate sheet metal guards/replacement parts

  • Operational understanding and troubleshooting experience with manufacturing equipment.

  • Basic operational understanding and troubleshooting experience with medium-level equipment such as compression machines, high shear mixers, film coaters, and capsule fillers.

  • Basic understanding of cGMP and OSHA regulations.
