Position Description

Job Summary

  • The Cash Desk Analyst will be responsible for ensuring all daily cash activity has been allocated to the appropriate Business Units in North America (Canada & U.S.A.). Position will utilize department’s Treasury Workstation to assign general ledger treatment to each transaction and reconcile statements provided by the bank to activity posted to the TWS. The Analyst must work closely with the Cash Application team in the Shared Service Center to identify proper assignment of all activity for 40 plus Business Units. This includes communicating with banking relationship support teams to obtain additional detail on transactions that can’t be identified and liaising with bank to resolve other cash related issues. Analyst must also work closely with the General Accounting department of Shared Service Center to ensure proper application of general ledger treatment and resolve any issues.

  • Position will update respective Intercompany Loans with business’ net cash flow for the day and compound interest on outstanding balances. Analyst must reconcile Daily Workpapers and Loan Reports for review and approval by the Treasurer.

  • Position will be responsible for the User Access and Entitlement process for all systems supported by the Treasury group. This includes managing the Definition and Creation of User Groups, Approval Process for Portal Access Requests, Support of User Base, and ensuring System Security is aligned with Saint-Gobain’s Internal Control requirements. Periodic reviews of User Entitlements should be coordinated with respective Managers to ensure User Access rights are still necessary. Position will be responsible for ensuring User Inventory is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Cash Desk Analyst will work closely with the Shared Services Accounts Payable team to obtain internal approval for Daily Payment File Transmissions sent to the bank. Analyst will use approvals to reconcile File Inventory in respective Bank’s Host to Host product to Release payments for execution. All support will be electronically filed and archived as defined by Company Policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or relevant work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in the Treasury or Banking Industry, preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in Operations Function of Company, preferred.

  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) 1 year, preferred.
