In this position…

This role will be to lead Design and release responsibilities for low voltage wire harnesses and sensors for automatic transmissions. In this role you will be working on both current model and future model development work. This role requires a motivated engineer with strong communication and organizational skills due to complexity of the sub-systems and components and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot warranty, supplier quality and Plant assembly issues. Strong engineering skills and prior Design and Release background is required.

What you'll do…

  • Lead development of Engineering specification for Low Voltage Wire Harness

  • Interface with connector engineering team to develop/integrate connectors, cables and terminals into the harness design.

  • Create/Review and maintain FMA documents

  • Lead cross functional CPMT

  • Maintain BOM using e3P Process and support prototype builds

  • Lead component level DV and PV plan development

  • Create and maintain electrical device transmittals and EMC test plans in VSEM and participate in vehicle electrical compatibility reviews.

  • Interface with systems engineers, calibrators & plant team members to resolve technical & assembly issues

You'll have...

Minimum

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • Prior automotive industry experience

  • Ability to review and assess 2D/3D CAD data, stacks and VSA studies

Even better, if you have …

Preferred

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Familiarity with EMC specification

  • Design and Release background

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter and VSEM

  • Familiarity with GPDS milestones and deliverables

  • WERS experience

  • Prior launch experience

  • Experience working on component level quality documents

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
