The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Communications team is looking for savvy, strategic communicator to shape and deliver communications that support our technology innovation. You'll develop and deploy integrated, internal and external communications campaigns that highlight our incredible people and capabilities .

Join us and help tell the story of how technology and innovation connects and protects our world across every frontier. In this job, you will:

  • Lead communications strategy and execution for the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center and Emerging Capabilities Development organizations, and coordinate with other parts of the sector and enterprise to amplify business priorities.

  • Apply user experience practices in all communications; serve as a translator and provide clear, concise storytelling to explain complex concepts.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and work in partnership with other leaders to integrate messages and methods in support of broader business priorities.

  • Help develop more impactful content and channel delivery practices to inform and inspire our 100,000 employees, and those who have yet to join us (internal and external communications).

  • Serve as a strategic driver who can help set standards, build stronger, more integrated messages.

  • Develop executive messaging and thought leadership.

  • Design, implement and measure dynamic communications practices.

  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships.

This position is based in Linthicum, Md., or Falls Church, Va.

Basic Qualifications - Principal Public Relations Representative

  • Bachelor's degree with six (6) years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or four (4) years of communications experience with Master-level degree

  • Demonstrated ability to develop integrated strategic communications plans, multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Basic Qualifications - Senior Principal Public Relations Representative

  • Bachelor's degree with ten (10) years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or eight (8) years of communications experience with Master-level degree

  • Demonstrated ability to develop integrated strategic communications plans, multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with Associated Press Stylebook rules

  • Experience establishing and advancing an organization's brand

  • Experience in strategic or digital communications, journalism, marketing, public relations

  • Experience with social media channels, audiences and practices

Salary Range: $84,600 - $133,100

Salary Range 2: $104,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
