Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. R

esponsible for planning, purchasing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. Perform analyses of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, and recommend and implement improvements.

*[Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)

**[Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

**[Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.

**[Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.

**[Responsible for the purchasing function for all maintenance repair and replacement parts. Manages inventory of replacement parts, screw, bearings etc.

**[Interfaces with suppliers as needed via phone, email, and in-person to maintain a favorable supplier relationship and to ensure on-time delivery of product.

**[Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

**[Coordinate and oversee contractors.

**[Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

**[Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

**[Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.

**[Ensures tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations are available.

**[Daily Supervision of employees responsible for their safety and job assignment / activities.

**[Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.

**[Takes initiative to pursue and develop new ideas, processes, and methods to improve cost performance or production improvements.

**[Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.

**[Must be on call for steam plant hours if operator, or group leader cannot make the shift

**[Follows all plant safety rules and OSHA/EPA regulations. Ensure employees and other plant personal are following OSHA rules

**[Troubleshoot, investigate and fix machine and building issues

**[Develop maintenance polices to include: Preventive Machine Schedule, SOPs on routine maintenance tasks.
