The Kansas City, MO Clinical Supply Services Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician II supports clinical trial projects through the packaging of clinical trial supplies and ensuring that all work is carried out is in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Shift: Monday – Friday; 2:30pm – 11:00pm

The Role:

  • Follow safety and manual handling guidelines

  • Accurately review packaging batch records prior to packaging process to ensure processing instructions are followed in accordance with SOPs

  • Utilize manual and/or automated packaging equipment/systems to label, inspect, and package clinical trial drug product, following work instructions and documented procedures

  • Clean associated packaging equipment and packaging room(s) in compliance with SOPs

  • Prepare and complete documentation in compliance with SOPs and cGMP

  • Ensure that any corrections to the packaging batch record are completed accurately

  • Ability to support either Primary or Secondary packaging as needed

  • Must be available to work occasional overtime

  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • High School diploma, required

  • 1+ years of clinical trial packaging or related pharmaceutical operations experience, preferred

  • Basic computer skills – including, but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer

  • Basic mathematical skill

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-50 pounds; able to occasionally work in cold storage conditions of 2-8°C and/or -20°C as needed

  • Able to work with respirator (P100, PAPR, etc.; 20/20 corrected vision; able to distinguish all colors
