ROCKY MOUNTAIN TURF FARM LLC Sod Farm Laborer (Temporary) in GOSHEN, Utah

Temporary Need: 04/01/24 - 12/20/24. Ten (10) full-time, seasonal, temporary Sod Farm Laborers needed. No experience required. Will work 60 hours per week, Mon.-Fri., 5:00am - 6:00pm. Location: Will be performed work in Goshen, Utah. Wage is $16.63 per hour. Duties: Worker will plant, cultivate, grow, care for, and harvest agricultural or horticultural goods including sod. Work includes, but is not limited to planting, controlling weeds, mowing, fertilizing, pest control and other farm related tasks. Must be able to work outdoors. Work requires constant bending and lifting and workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day. Operational specifications can change during the season due to crop or market condition. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each days work. Instructions and general supervision will be provided by the employer, supervisor or a designated employee. Daily individual work assignments, crew assignments and location of work will be made by the grower or supervisor as the needs of the operation dictate. Workers may be assigned a variety of duties in any given day and different tasks on different days. Terms and conditions of employment: Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation provided at no cost to workers. Workers must be available for the entire work period. Workers are required to keep all property, housing, and farm buildings clean, and must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor; employee must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision; absences from work and/or failure to perform required tasks will not be tolerated; must be able to provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer ($15.46/day, maximum $59/day with receipts). The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest rate). This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
