Heavy Equipment Company is currently seeking a Painter/Sand Blaster in our Somerset, PA office.

A qualifying candidate should have good communication skills, be detail oriented and be able to work independently as well as with a team and willingness to learn to operate all our painting equipment.

Painter/Sand Blaster candidate must be able to prepare parts and equipment for blasting, sanding, priming, and painting following all company policies and safety guidelines.  Our Company strives for a quality finished appearance on all products. There will be basic quality and maintenance functions and inventory monitoring required for this position as well.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare all surfaces for painting.  This includes blasting, sanding, masking, patching any defects, priming, and painting
2. Apply coating to construction equipment using spray gun
3. Clean/maintain all painting equipment, this includes all sprayers and pumps, etc.
4. Mix paint, match colors as specified
5. Monitor and accurately report materials used for each project
6. Ability to inspect project, determine any defects, repair
7. Understand work orders, invoices, and documents used to report the painting project appropriately
8. Additional duties assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma/GED, with background in painting and bodywork
2. 1+ year experience and/or acceptable trade school, training, certificates, and/or licenses
3. Written and verbal communication skills
4. Operation of forklift
5. Ability to use basic tools and keep organized
6. Organized and detail oriented

7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
