We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our DREAMteam. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll or finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment . This role will report to the Human Resources People Leader.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for overseeing the processing of the organization's payroll and gathering payroll data to uphold precise payroll records across multiple entities (CBORD, Horizon, and Australia locations) on a bi-weekly schedule. Additionally, supervising and updating the timekeeping system for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Partner with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing for employees on a leave of absence, PTO, sick leave and other time off.
Computing wages, deductions, on call pay, taxes, bonus, benefits, etc. Performs actions necessary to track and determine regular and overtime pay, and factors commission-based income or bonuses into an employee's salary.
Conduct workflow audits to ensure accurate UKG updates such as payroll details
for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires for all locations.
Recording and maintaining employee records and payroll transactions
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers. Answering questions and finding information for vendors, clients, and lenders
Knowledge of state compliance regulations, company policy, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws across 38 states are needed.
Generate payroll reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends and discrepancies
Assisting team members in maintaining core systems
Assist in the development and implementation of payroll process improvements
Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department
Stay up to date on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
Conduct quarterly audits to salary and computed wages to ensure accuracy.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
4+ years of experience in payroll processing or related field
Proficiency in using UKG Payroll Services (minimum of 2 years)
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational/Recordkeeping skills
Self-Motivated
Proficiency in Office365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field desired
Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP) is a plus
Note: This role is a hybrid role based out of our Duluth Ga office. Employees are required to be onsite on Tuesday and Thursday each week.
