Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in Detroit, Michigan. This role focuses on assisting with account reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts payable. It may involve rectifying prior mistakes and ensuring accurate financial records moving forward.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with account reconciliations to ensure accurate accounting records.

• Prepare and record journal entries in line with company policies and procedures.

• Handle accounts payable tasks to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Review and rectify any inaccuracies from previous bookkeeping activities.

• Utilize bookkeeping tools and software to maintain accurate financial data.

• Conduct regular reviews and updates of financial records to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborate with other team members to streamline financial processes.

• Assist in the clean-up of financial records and rectification of any errors.

• Ensure all bookkeeping activities are compliant with financial regulations and standards.

• Support other financial tasks and projects as required. Requirements • Proficiency in bookkeeping functions

• Experience as a full charge bookkeeper

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Ability to create accurate journal entries

• Experience in account reconciliation

• Proficiency in bank account reconciliation
