Job Description

One of our automotive clients is looking for an OBD Engineer who will be responsible for delivering, validating, and maintaining on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for powertrain technologies needed to meet diagnostic regulatory requirements.

Additional responsibilities in this role include:

- Develop and deliver reliability and Robustness Documentation (DFMEA, P-Diagrams, Boundary Diagrams, Calibration Guidelines, Diagnostics Operations Summary, and Fault Demonstration Methods)

- Perform diagnostic routines, report findings and give recommendations to improve system reliability and durability

- Perform HIL/SIL, on-road, emissions, and dynamometer data collection to validate and calibrate diagnostic monitoring capability of new powertrain technologies

- Identify and aid in resolving OBD issues with internal and external stakeholders

- Author scripts using MatLab, Python, or other scripting languages to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and support the calibration process

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

* 1 year minimum of experience in automotive product development

* Understanding of controls engineering and OBD regulations (EPA and CARB)

* Experience with calibration development tools

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

* MatLab null
