About you and this role- What you will do in this role

You will provide maintenance craft specific support to Carrollton site process and lab analyzers and associated systems. Maintains and repairs all types of analyzer equipment within craft knowledge and expertise. Participates on maintenance team which supports reliability improvement across all Operations facilities.

Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities- Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

  • This is a field maintenance repair position. The candidate is expected to have a demonstrable mechanical aptitude related to the repair and/or operation of chemical process equipment.

  • Position requires working at grade as well as being able to climb stairs, ladders, and access remote portion of a large chemical plant.

  • Position is a base 40 hour schedule, however mandatory overtime will be required on an as needed basis including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on plant needs.

  • Position will be included on the site analyzer shop call out list. The candidate will be expected to promptly accept call outs and come in to the plant after hours to respond to emergency situations including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Candidate is required to abide by all Dow procedures and safety protocols. The use of PPE may be required for certain activities related to this position.

Qualifications- Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 2 or more years of operations experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills -An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential

  • 5+ years direct field experience troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation or process analyzer systems in a chemical or petrochemical plant setting.

  • An Associate's degree or higher in a technical field.
