The White Collar & Public Integrity Division is charged with investigating and prosecuting financial crimes (including fiduciary embezzlement by professionals, complex financial frauds, and tax fraud schemes)and public corruption matters (includinga broad array of schemes involving public officials, public institutions, and public funds). Primary Duties: The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Division Chief, Deputy Division Chief, Division Assistant Attorneys General, and other administrative staff in supporting the administrative needs of the White Collar & Public Integrity Division in the Boston Office. Responsibilities include compiling, organizing, and maintaining digital and physical records and case files; managing calendars (including the scheduling of meetings, critical dates, deadlines, and appointments); responding to telephone calls; systematically archiving materials; drafting and proofreading routine and confidential correspondence; preparing grand jury and trial subpoenas, discovery materials, court activity reports, weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, and other legal documents; inputting and updating case information in the case management database; coordinating with the budget department to complete all division purchasing and reimbursements; assisting with special projects; providing general office assistance; and other duties, as required. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for screening, tracking, and processing complaints from the general public, and referrals from other state agencies. The Administrative Assistant handles critical and confidential materials, is in frequent contact with members of the public, and helps ensure the highest level of professionalism in the Division. The Administrative Assistant greets members of the public and serves as the Division’s contact for bureaus and divisions across the office. This is a fast-paced, high-profile work environment that requires the ability to work on a range of complex matters under time pressure. Must be a self-starter. Applicant must also possess the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making, prioritize and manage several ongoing tasks, and work under a tight schedule. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and the capability to learn case-tracking software is required.
