B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Recruiting Manager for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Recruiting Manager will support the Recruiting department and Hiring Managers in the hiring of Construction professionals around the world. Candidate will play a crucial role in attracting and retaining exceptional employees. In this position, you will be responsible for continuously seeking out top talent, developing a compelling employment brand, and fostering positive relationships with candidates and employees. A high-level of confidentiality is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans
  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.)
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience
  • Assist in employee retention and development
  • Supervise recruiting personnel
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers or other events
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
  • US Citizen
  • Proven experience as talent acquisition manager
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding
  • Understanding of all selection methods and techniques
  • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
  • Willingness to understand the duties and competencies of different roles
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and databases
  • Excellent communicator
  • Well-organized
  • A leader and strategic thinker
  • BSc/BA in business administration, human resources or relevant field
  • Basic knowledge of HR rules and regulations in regards to Federal and State Compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook

Preferences:

  • Experience using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
  • Construction industry experience
  • Experience with ATS
  • Experience in Social Media Marketing as a recruiting tool

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:

  • Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
  • Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
  • Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required
  • Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills
  • Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment
