Eaton’s Aerospace FED Division is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager at our Beltsville, MD location. Our Beltsville, MD manufacturing facility is home to 400+ passionate and creative team members. The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing facilities maintenance to support the site’s needs as well as overseeing work done by outside contractors. This person is also responsible for leading facilities capital improvement projects and planning physical moves or rearrangement of machinery.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105225.03 - $154330.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and supervise the day-to-day and long-term execution of facilities’ preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance keeping direct communication with the Operational Excellence Manager and management staff for all changes that affects safety, product quality and / or operating conditions of the plant.

• Develop, coordinate, and lead implementation of facilities capital improvement projects.

• Plan, estimate costs, and oversee physical moves or rearrangement of machinery and equipment according to prepared plant layouts.

• Manage all activities related to building maintenance and Housekeeping assuring high standards.

• Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures related to facilities maintenance to drive improvements, minimizing operating costs and reducing environmental impact.

• Determine jobs to be done by outside contractors as well as obtain and review bids to determine successful bidder. Oversee progress of work and check completed contracted jobs to ensure quality and conformance with specifications.

• Design and implementation of equipment installation standards, and the administration of electrical, pneumatic and thermal power distribution at the facility.

• Be responsible for the technical evaluation and contract administration of the suppliers of maintenance services.

• Participate in the activities related to the facility’s energy or environmental programs to ensure compliance with government rules and regulation.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of five (5) years experience working in a manufacturing facility with machine repair and general building maintenance.

• Minimum of three (3) years experience managing direct reports.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Professional Engineer Certification.

• Formal training/certification in Lean tools and Six Sigma.

Skills:

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance as well as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

• Driver of change and propensity for innovation.

• Ability to convey information effectively to multiple diverse stakeholder groups at different levels of the organization.

• Ability to develop a strong cross-functional network in order to influence others to get results.

• Ability to evaluate an individual’s performance and provide effective coaching in order to aide employee development.

• Ability to evaluate competing interests from different stakeholders, establish priorities, resolve conflicts, and make high quality decisions.

• Ability to understand and process business and financial data in order to identify opportunities as well as effectively convey to other stakeholders.

• Ability to periodically flex work hours to provide weekend supervision.
