Controls Engineer

This firm is a leading industrial manufacturer of different components and materials that are used in a variety of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, and medical spaces.

Job responsibilities

• PLC Programming; editing, modification, and programming from Scratch

• Design and develop machine control systems to customer specifications

• Support SCADA systems

• Read and interpret one line drawings, schematics, and prints

• Commission and installation of industrial control systems

• Documentation of how and why systems are set up and programmed

• Interacting and communicating with customers, vendors, and/or contractors on project status, timelines, schedule

• Support operators and technicians in supporting and editing PLC systems

Qualifications

• PLC programming experience from scratch, preferably in Allen-Bradley, in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and drawings

• Knowledge and experience working with NEC and OESC, equipment specification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering is preferred but not required

• Experience troubleshooting, commissioning, and installing industrial control systems

• Basic understanding of VFD's

• Experience with DeltaV is nice to have but not required
